June 4th, 2022 - at the Baie Verte Mining Conference in Newfoundland, Toromont customer Rambler Metals and Mining had the John T. Ryan National Safety Award on display in their booth. This is a prestigious award, recognizing the Rambler operations at Ming Mine site, the Nugget Pond Mill and Goodyear Cove for an outstanding safety record in 2020 and 2021.
Rambler reported ZERO lost time incidents at its operations in both 2020 and 2021 and has now operated for over three years with no lost time injuries. Rambler was awarded this national award in 2015 and 2017 while being selected for a regional award in 2019.
These results and this award are even more remarkable as they occurred during a unique year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges that accompanied it.
Congratulations to the entire Rambler team for an outstanding achievement!!
The Toromont CAT site support team, led by Customer Support Supervisor Mark Peckford, is currently in the process of delivering an expanded Underground Mining fleet to meet the forecast production targets of Rambler Metals and Mining at the Ming Gold and Copper Mine.
These deliveries will bring the Rambler Operational Mining Fleet up to 7 x AD30 UG mining Trucks and 2 x R1600 and 4 x R1700 UG Mining Loaders. With a consistent fleet availability above 90% and a growing operating fleet of CAT underground equipment, the Toromont and Rambler partnership is only getting stronger….
