Cat fire pump engines come in standard packages that include all components needed to meet ULI, ULC, FM and NFPA-20 requirements.  Power on demandMechanically driven equipment shares one key characteristic: They must start on demand - always. Cat® engines have a reputation for reliable starts and long, efficient service. That's why they are trusted drives for fire pumps, compressors, and more. Fire pump engines: Designed for reliability For a fire pump, engine failure is not an option. All Cat fire pump diesels are dynamometer tested before leaving the factory. Each unit is tested beyond rated capacity to make sure it meets certified rating standards and starts whenever needed. For quick, sure starting, Cat fuel injection systems feature individual injector pumps and clog-resistant nozzles for each cylinder. Only Cat fire pump diesels are "energized to shut down." If fire damages the solenoid, controls, wiring or batteries, the engine continues to run and pump water. Building Services: The finest maintenance and service Regardless of application, Cat engine drives are backed by the global Cat dealer network. Dealers can provide low-cost maintenance agreements, tailored to specific operating requirements. The purchase of fire pump engines includes start-up assistance from the nearest Cat dealer. |
