BenefitsToromont CAT is committed in providing a comprehensive program of benefits to assist its employees against the financial impact of health care costs. Group Benefits Group Benefits are important, not only for the financial assistance they provide, but also for the security they provide for our employees and their families, especially in the case of unforeseen circumstances. Government health plans can provide coverage for such medical expenses as hospital charges and doctors' fees. In the case of disability, government plans (such as Unemployment Insurance, Canada/Quebec Pension Plan, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, etc.) may provide some financial assistance. But government plans provide only basic coverage. Medical expenses or a disability can provide financial hardship for our employees and their families. With these needs in mind, the objective of Toromont's benefit plan design is to provide a balanced package which focuses on preventive maintenance while at the same time ensuring that cost off-sets are adequate in the event of a major or prolonged illness. Toromont CAT has specifically designed a Group Benefit Plan where full time employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes a Drug Plan, Health Care, a Vision Plan, a Dental Plan and Life Insurance. Also included is a travel assistance program for times when our employees and their families travel outside of their home province. Pension Plan The Toromont Pension Plan is a mandatory program for all full time employees and together with government pension benefits provides a good foundation for their personal financial security during retirement. The lifetime monthly pension provided by the Plan, along with government pensions and personal savings, will help each employee secure the standard of living they want after they retire. Throughout employment, both the employee and the company make regular contributions through automatic payroll deductions offering immediate tax relief. Employee Share Purchase Plan and Group RRSP The Toromont Employee Share Purchase Plan is a voluntary program for all full time employees and gives the employees an outlet of contributing to the future and well being of Toromont CAT. Toromont pays the administration and brokerage fees offering a convenient means of saving to all full time employees. The Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan allows our employees to invest their money through payroll deductions or lump sum contributions. As part of a Group plan, employees enjoy benefits such as no annual administration fees, other reduced fees and access to an Investment Advisor. 
Training and DevelopmentAt Toromont CAT, we believe in investing in your success. This is why we offer a wide range of in-house professional development and technical training programs to support the professional development of our employees. We also offer a Self Study Library where resources can be signed out online and employees can learn at their own pace. In addition, we offer career development services that include career assessments, career counselling and, coaching and mentoring. Educational assistance is also available to permanent employees who successfully complete external courses, which complement their current position or future career goals at Toromont CAT.
